The Perpetual State of WarAugust 21, 2005The United States appears to be headed for dark times. The dogs of war have been unleashed once again as the world stands on the edge of World War III. It seems that the United States cannot exist without being in a perpetual state of war. Ofcourse, this can be said of nearly all humanity in general; we are violent creatures with a blood lust that courses deep in our minds. The United States in particular was born out of war and so it seems will die in war. Every 20 years our country has had some sort of major military conflict starting with the Pequot War(1637) to the current war in Iraq.Perhaps it is best to list the wars the United States has engaged in since even before its founding in order to drive home the point even more.
